For quite a while, Batman didn’t have a family of his own. He lived on the streets and hid under a van for refuge. He feared humans and avoided contact with anyone.
There were days that the dog had a full stomach, but most often, he had nothing to eat despite his attempt to scavenge for food. The pup struggled to survive. Thankfully, a Good Samaritan spotted him and asked for help.
The kind individual called Hope For Paws, and together, rescuers Eldad Hagar, Natalie Ford, and Lisa Arturo quickly responded. They drove straight to the site and immediately spotted the dog in his hiding spot. Natalie and Lisa moved quickly to surround the car so the little dog couldn’t escape while Eldad stood-watch and kept the animal from running into the busy street.
Once the rescuers secured the car, Eldad sprang into action. He used a gentle snare to try and reach the dog. But while he managed to secure him right away, the terrified pup fought back and started to chew the loop.
Batman was so scared and confused. He didn’t understand what the rescuers wanted. After all, he had been on his own for so long and never had contact with any human.
Once Eldad pulled Batman from under the car, the pup quickly started to relax. He allowed his rescuer to pet him. Moments later, Lisa secured him entirely with the Lucky Leash.
Batman realized the rescuers were there to help. He fell asleep on Eldad’s lap the moment they got into the car. And as soon as they reached the hospital, the dog received medical care, a hot meal, and tons of love and affection.
A few weeks after his rescue, Batman received his medical clearance. Through H.E.L.P. (Home For Every Living Pet), he found an amazing home. His days on the streets are over. Batman is now part of a loving family.
