Remember our childhood days when we would usually throw tantrums when parents would not let us go for a sleepover at a friend’s house? Children, even teenagers, are fond of playing with their gang even until dawn time. They would share toys and go to adventures that spike their curiosity. It’s fun to reminisce about those things, isn’t it?
One fur parent shares the same story about her dog. Human fur mommy Rachel Howatt who resides with her husky named Koda at Winkler, Manitoba, tells the story to Zoo Land. It all started when the beautiful dog went missing days before Christmas.
Rachel was just preparing for the holidays when Koda went out of the house and never returned for days. It was on December 23 when the husky went back home, and Rachel finally felt at peace.
She let this incident pass since Koda did not run away after that. Rachel, however, managed to post about her missing husky on her Facebook page.
But his running away happened again a few months after. Koda would go out of the house and return hours later. Good thing that Rachel neighbors were reviewing the gate cameras installed around their home and noticed that Koda appeared a few times in the recording. They talked to Rachel about this.
Rachel, after hearing the news, could not believe the fact that Koda was, in fact, making new friends whenever she’s out of the house. The neighbors laid all the proof they had that the beautiful husky had already befriended a deer whom she sleeps and plays around with.
Koda and the deer would spend the whole days just strolling in the valley and eating together. It was a beautiful sight to see!

Koda still leaves the house for a few hours. We bet it’s to check her newly-found friend.
This is our favorite story so far! In a world full of wars, debates, and chaos, Koda and her friend deer remind us we can all be friends no matter what our color is, what our beliefs are, and wherever we may live.
Does your dog have its own friends outside the house too? Share their pictures with us!
