Every child wants to have a teddy bear by their side whenever they go to sleep. It’s quite common for kids. Perhaps your child or your younger sibling likes this kind of thing as well.
But for Kourtney Blount, had a different kind of experience. You might even say that it was a bit cute. While she was driving around the streets of Montgomery, Texas, she saw a dog cuddling with a Teddy Bear. He was snuggling around the two apartments at that time.
Blount has a hunch that the dog pulled the Teddy Bear from the garbage because she saw a lot of scattered trash around the place. In her thoughts, the dog may be just wandering around the streets. She knew that every owner allowed their pets to wander and move around the community. However, when she tried to ask some people who the dog’s master was, no one could answer that.
Others say that they have seen the dog on the road and streets for about a month. And so, Blount posted the dog’s photo on Facebook, hoping that someone would rescue him with his bear. Thankfully, someone responded and guaranteed to adopt the dog. She was also an independent rescuer named Destiney Swatzel.
But unfortunately, when she was about to get the dog, which the rescuers named Teddy, she thought that it was too late. She found it lying on the road claiming that it was already dead. Her reaction made her panic and got out of the car to approach him. Surprisingly, when she’s getting near, the dog. Immediately lifted his head.
Moreover, when Swatzel signals Teddy to come over, the dog didn’t think twice to go over to her. Unfortunately, as the dog came along with her, she did not take the teddy bear with them. It’s not because she didn’t want too, but because it was already full of dirt and mold. And the good thing is that the dog might not need it anymore. It seems like he has found a companion that will surely never leave him again.
While on the way, Swatzel checked if Teddy had a microchip or a collar signaling that he belongs to someone else. Sadly, she didn’t find anything. Teddy also threw up chicken bones, plastics, leaves, and rocks, which she knew that the dog has been surviving in the streets.
As they arrived home, she gave Teddy a good meal and a fresh bath. She let him wander around the house, where he was able to play with all the other rescue dogs around the area. The dog was about to go into a foster home later that day with rescuer Mary Dizier. However, they realized that he should stay.
She fell in love and was inspired by the dog. Teddy’s name now is Blue, and he is happily living with his forever family. They said that he’s doing very well now and loves to have some belly rubs!
