Couple Ed and Kristin Casas love to go on vacation. Whenever they got the luxury of time to take a day off from everything, they would often go outdoors. This activity does not only refreshen them from the stress of corporate life, but it also gives them time for themselves. Each time they go outside, they are joined by their cute pooch, Rylee.
A ten-month-old Belgian Malinois, the pooch loves to stroll around with her owners. One day, the couple decided to go to Lake Michigan. They boarded a boat with Rylee and began their trip. About six miles into the lake, the ship experienced some electrical problems. The couple then tried to fix the problem.
As soon as they fixed the boat, the couple realized that Rylee went missing. At first, both Ed and Kristin thought that the pooch was strolling around. It dawned on the couple that the dog is no longer on the boat when the pooch did not bark when they called her name. Rylee would often respond whenever the couple calls her.
This frightened the couple because the lake is not safe for the pooch as there was signage, saying the water is deep. Ed and Kristin then called for reinforcement and told the fishermen about their ordeal.
The fishermen were quick on their toes and immediately started the search for the missing Rylee. According to some people, they saw Rylee swimming. After 24 hours of search and rescue, Rylee was found under the custody of a boater. According to one boatman, he saw Rylee swimming alone and decided to pick her up.
Ed and Kristin were thankful for the boater because he saved the pooch. For Ed and Kristin, this incident is a wakeup call to be mindful of Rylee whenever they go out for vacation.
