It’s typical to see a boy having his pet dog as his best friend. However, in this case, this boy found a best friend in his neighbor’s yard—a friend who he least expected to be the one that he’ll spend the most time with.
Conway Nelson, a 2-year-old boy, loves to play catch in the backyard. According to his dad, Chad Nelson, he had him throwing a ball ever since he was only two weeks old. He would place the ball on Conway’s hand while he’s lying on his back and make him toss it.
The Nelson’s owns two dogs who love Conway as much as he loves them. But sadly, they don’t enjoy playing fetch with him. So, when the little boy saw a potential playmate in his neighbor’s yard, he didn’t think twice of grabbing the opportunity.
Conway was determined to meet his new friend. In a video recorded by Chad, the toddler threw a ball over the fence and the neighbor’s dog, named Dozer, happily caught it. The golden Labrador then grabbed the first toss and threw it back.
Nelson was happy to see his son finally having a lot of fun with a dog, so he decided to show the clip to his friends. He first thought that Conway just wanted to look cute and that his friends would like it. But, he didn’t expect the video to go viral in an instant.
The video of Dozer and Conway has been shared nearly 300,000 times after it was posted. No one can deny that a boy playing catch with his neighbor’s dog over the fence is the cutest thing ever.
Conway and Dozer are a dynamic duo and the best of friends. They are indeed the perfect epitome of unexpected friendship. They have just shown to the world that anyone can be someone’s friend as long as both are having fun and enjoying time together.
