Aside from being a man’s forever best friend, a dog can also be any animal’s best buddy! They are the most social creatures that ever graced our homes that they tend to socialize not just with humans but also with the other pets in the neighborhood. They require no qualifications as to who they choose to be in their ’circle of friends.’
This video uploaded by Wakaleo on Youtube captured the one-of-a-kind friendship and bond between a dog and a disabled kitten. The cattle dog, Max, could not seem to take his eyes off Ralphee, the kitten with a neurological disorder. Unfortunately, Ralphee was born with feline cerebellar hypoplasia, that is, her cerebellum, which should be in charge of his fine movement and motor skills, is underdeveloped. The poor kitten has trouble maintaining her balance, as well as walking, jumping, and running. Her head is shaky, as this disorder is also characterized by having a “bobble-head” and a “drunken sailor” movement.
The good thing is, this condition is considered non-progressive. It means that it will not worsen, provided that the affected animal does not have any other health concerns.
As told by their owners, Max is never far away from Ralphee ever since they brought the kitten to their home. Max’s attachment is also evident in the clip. He always watches over adorable little Ralphee, even as she grows playful and teasing day by day. Ralphee, on the other hand, would get all excited whenever her buddy is around. It is shown by her leaping and being energetic when Max is with her.
This video just tells us that dogs never discriminate. Whoever you may be, whatever status and condition you might have, dogs will always be there for you.
Have you also got a super friendly dog? If you want to see for yourself, try to walk him/her in the neighborhood and observe how your fur baby reacts to other dogs that he/she meets along the way. Be sure to take a video and share it with us!
